I was involved in a special collaborative photo shoot a couple of weeks ago with a fabulous creative team of wedding and event suppliers that came together on a cool, windy autumn day to create three beautiful dinner party table set ups, a sweet little wedding ceremony and a gorgeous boho picnic.
Each of the set ups were so special in their own right that I felt they needed to be showcased individually so the reader could focus on the beautiful details that went into designing and creating each space.
I have broken the day down into a four part series for readers to enjoy over the coming weeks. I will start here with the autumn inspired tablescapes, Part 1 of the series.
Below are some favourite shots from the two variations we did for this part of the shoot which shows the incredible talents of those involved. I hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed bringing them to life and that it helps you get inspired for your next event!
Two Striking Autumn Dinner Party Tablescape Ideas
Table #1:
The concept and design for these table set ups was a collaboration between Buds and Berries Floral Design and myself for Flair Event Style & Design. It incorporated bright green and orange blooms, green apples, walnuts, pillar candles, pine cones, dodda vine and gold tea light candles which created major WOW factor with the background setting amongst the pine forest trees.

The weathered wooden plank used to make the tall centrepiece structure was an integral part of this table setting and was the initial inspiration from which the ideas for this table design was formed.

The addition of gold accented flatware and gold rimmed wine glasses against the ivory lace tablecloth added some extra decadence to the style and look of the table.

The plank feature above the table setting incorporated ivory pillar candles in varying sizes, gold tea lights, bright orange gerberas, golden orchids, green chrysanthemum buds, granny smith apples, whole walnuts, as well as natural and gold sprayed pine cones. The wisps of dodda vine trailing down along the plank and wrapping around the simulated ‘trunk’ like pillars holding up the structure blended perfectly with the pine forest surroundings.
Table #2:
The second decor design also featured the plank from the first table set up where it was used as a long centrepiece along the middle of the table. Essentially the same details as the first set up were used with the addition of some burgundy coloured orchid heads to vary the pops of colour.

We were fortunate enough to have delicious canapés from Ontray Catering, delectable raw desserts from Banana Rawpublic and a stunning white chocolate cake from Carina’s Kitchen to complete the scene for our forest dinner party!
